How You Can Help
Many people have inquired about sending
letters and packages to members of the U.S.
military. The current conflict in Iraq is
presenting challenges getting items delivered to
the troops, but there are a number of
organizations that are providing support in
various ways. These include:
Our Network of Military Caseworkers
Volunteers and paid staff of the American Red
Cross form a vast network of caseworkers in order
to provide our 24 hour non-stop military
communication services. Services are
provided at over 1,000 Red Cross Chapters and
Stations in communities across the nation.
Help Yourself by Planning Ahead!
If you are a service member and know you are
going to be away from home, be sure several
family members are aware of the Red Cross
services we provide and how to access us.
Most important, be sure you leave your Social
Security Number and full Military address (i.e.
Unit, battalion etc.). You never know
when you may need our services.
