Basics for All Classes:

  1. Register and pay in advance to secure a place in the class -- either come in, register and pay online, or place a secure phone order
  2. Dress comfortably as most classes have skills sessions done on the floor
  3. Pull back/tie long hair for skills sessions
  4. Let us know in advance if you require any special accommodations so that we can be of better service
Community First Aid & Safety - $50.00
One of our more popular safety courses, it is great for families, childcare workers and schools. The complete course combines CPR and first aid training to teach participants how to:
  • Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants, children and adults
  • Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains and strains
  • Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold-related injuries
  • Minimize the effects of shock
  • Recognize emergencies and take action
  • Understand the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
This course begins at 8:30am on scheduled days and usually lasts until 4:30pm.
Standard First Aid - $40.00
Great for businesses, this class is designed to meet OSHA requirements for workplace training. Within the framework of helping others, this class also stresses how rescuers can protect themselves during emergencies and teaches accident prevention. Participants learn how to:
  • Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults
  • Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains and strains
  • Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold-related injuries
  • Minimize the effects of shock
  • Recognize emergencies and take action
  • Understand the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
This course begins at 9am on scheduled days and usually ends at 3:30pm
Babysitter’s Training - $45.00
This course will teach you everything you need to be a great babysitter. Designed for 12-15 yr-olds, this fun, interactive course teaches first aid and safety skills so you can prevent and respond to emergencies. And, as a Red Cross-trained babysitter, you’ll gain confidence and valuable employment skills to impress parents. You’ll learn how to:
  • Perform first aid and get professional medical help fast Identify common safety hazards and prevent injuries
  • Make good, responsible decisions
  • Supervise infants through school-age children
  • Choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games
  • Perform basic care routines like diapering, feeding and dressing
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks Handle bedtime issues
  • Find and interview for babysitting jobs
This course begins at 8:30am on scheduled days. Participants should bring a lunch so that we can keep ‘em all day or at least until 4pm!
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (CPRO) - $60.00
As a professional rescuer, you are often the first person at the scene of an emergency, so it is critical that you have the skills necessary to save a life. Designed for individuals with a duty to respond to emergencies - doctors, nurses, lifeguards, paramedics and EMTs - this course meets Emergency Cardiovascular Care 2000 Guidelines. In addition to basic response information, professional rescuers are given the information that they need in these key areas:
  • Recognizing and responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants
  • Two-rescuer CPR
  • Use of body substance isolation precautions to prevent disease transmission
  • Use of resuscitation and bag-valve masks
  • Use of an AED for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest
CPRO starts at 8:30am on scheduled days
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor’s Course - $175.00
Many businesses prefer to have their employees trained in-house, at their convenience and, due to large turn-over or simply large training numbers, in makes sense to have an employee authorized to instruct. This two-day course fine-tunes CPR skills and then provides teaching techniques as well as familiarizing participants with administrative procedures and guidelines so that they can return to work and share these life-saving skills in the workplace.

This course begins at 8am each day
Pet First Aid- $35.00
Whether you are a new pet owner or just wish to brush-up on your skills, if anyone in you house has four legs - this course is for you! This class teaches first aid, breathing and cardiac emergency response, and injury prevention for cats & dogs. The class cost includes an excellent pet first aid manual and a full-size pet first aid kit.

Instructor Courses
For every class offered, individuals may become certified to teach the class to fellow employees. Prerequisite for all instructor classes: Participant must already be certified for the class they wish to obtain teaching certification and must be at least 17 years of age.
